Our Story
From a dream to paradise.
AquaVista Resort was founded in 2015 by marine biologist Kai Nakamura, who dreamed of creating a luxury resort that coexists harmoniously with the fragile Maldivian ecosystem. What began as a small dive lodge has grown into one of the most acclaimed eco-luxury resorts in the Indian Ocean.
Today, AquaVista spans 12 acres of pristine beachfront and crystal-clear lagoon, featuring 120 overwater and beachfront villas, five restaurants, a world-class spa, and the Maldives' first underwater dining experience.
